".....wherever the Sh'khinah abides"
Ceramic and Mixed Media Works by Lester Goldman
Goldman, an attorney and Past President of Congregation B'nai Amoona and the Solomon Schechter Day School, took up ceramics in the late 1950's. The current series explores the infusion of the Sh'khina in our physical, expressive and interpersonal experiences. Goldman says of his work:
"Though I have control over the shape of the clay and the choice of glazes I can never be certain just what will occur when the piece is subjected to intense heat in the kiln where the true hues of the glaze emerge to bind with the clay body. In a sense I am in partnership with certain elemental forces of nature in creating something that never was before."
